Sing Along with The Muppet Movie At Segerstrom

Are you ready for a blast from the past? Your kids will love this event as much as you! The Muppets have come to Costa Mesa at the Segerstrom Center for a Sing Along!  Everyone will find a rainbow connection with the irresistible Muppets in Sing Along with The Muppet Movie, an interactive film experience. The Muppet Movie (1979) is a film classic that follows Kermit the Frog on a cross-country trip to Hollywood. Along the way, he meets many other misfit Muppets who join him to overcome danger, discover their true selves and build a future of friendship together. This totally “gonzo” interactive screening is full of surprises, including bubbles, streamers, kites, confetti pops and characters coming right out of the screen into the audience. Children and adults alike are urged to yell out famous lines, dance in the aisles, and, of course, sing along as they discover or rediscover this beloved film. It will be a blast for the entire family!!

  1. Ok, so it’s the wording. They are saying the tickets are free with the purchase of a goody bag which is $20 and everyone even adults needs to buy one. In other words, tickets are $20 and you get a free goody bag.

    • Or, as they said, goodie bags are $20 and admission is free. Six to one or half dozen to another. There is no reason to confuse anything.

  2. I attended the muppet sing along performance at Samueli Theater with a friend and her 4 year old yesterday. This was by far the worst children’s performance I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been attending them for 24 years. The 2 “moderators” on stage were very mechanical in their presentations. They showed the entire muppet movie. There were 2, maybe 3, people in costumes that were extremely uninspired. They went throughout the audience with props. I expected there to be at least a couple people dressed like muppet characters. “Treat” bags were given to everyone upon entering. Supposedly these were props to use during the performance. As far as I could tell, just about every child was playing with these things instead of watching the movie. The bags were super distracting. In my opinion they should have been given at the end. We certainly did not have a “live performance experience.” Very disappointed that such a high quality theater venue would show this.
