So the other day I came downstairs and found my son Erik like this. This is highly unusual for him since he mostly leans towards math and science. He was reading a copy of the book Too Clever VI: Jason’s Eagle by Dr. Julia E Antoine. This is the 6th in the series and is a story about 10 year old Jason and his love for the American Bald Eagle.
A STORY OF THE AMERICAN BALD EAGLE
In the first story Jason was 5. Now he is 10 and pretty much only into himself…. and the American Bald Eagle. To Jason the bald eagle is absolutely awe-inspiring. No other bird species commands such attention and respect when in flight. He lives on the shores of the Long Island Sound, near the Connecticut River. He spends every free moment he has watching the eagles.
This book is aimed primarily at boys aged 9-12 but good for the whole family. Too Clever VI: Jason’s Eagle reminds readers that the American Bald Eagle is a magnificent bird, which should be treasured and preserved for future generations. It also represents the United States of America and all that we stand for: Freedom, Power and Strength. It’s available in paperback or hard cover . The list price is $21.99 and can be found on Amazon or wherever fine books are sold. I asked Erik what he liked best about the book and he said “It is so interesting reading about the eagles and Jason seems like a kid I could be friends with!”
