Holiday Festivities For Everyone At JW Marriott LA
There may not be snow covered trees, or below zero temperatures in Los Angeles, but L.A. is known for elaborate holiday events, sparkling lights, festive tree lightings, boat parades and more! And this year the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE, is getting in the spirit of the season with a complete holiday takeover in the heart of downtown Los Angeles.
When and What?
On Wednesday, November 2, The Mixing Room will offer weekly festive-themed cocktail, beer, and wine classes and tastings.
From Monday, November 28, the hotel will display a 30+ ft. decorated tree and a life-size Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen made out of 1,300 pounds of gingerbread.
To round out the offerings the family-friendly Holly Jolly Day event returns for the second year on Saturday, December 17. Guests can book the Exclusive Holiday Shopping Package for overnight accommodations through December (starting at $389 per night).
Holly Jolly Day
- Families and friends are invited to The Mixing Room’s Holly Jolly Day (Saturday, December 17). Tickets include private access to the L.A. LIVE ice skating rink with a Hot Chocolate & Holiday Sweets Laboratory: a hands-on treat station with cupcake and cookie decorating, a chocolate fountain, and sweet and savory bites. For adults, festive cocktails and spiked hot chocolate with a variety of toppings will be available at the bar. Santa Claus, the man of the hour, makes special appearances in Mrs. Claus’ Gingerbread Kitchen from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. for photos and a meet-and-greet.

Mrs. Claus’ Gingerbread Kitchen
- From November 25 – December 31, visit the life-size Mrs. Claus’ Gingerbread Kitchen featuring 1,300 lbs. of spiced cookie dough and is furnished entirely out of sweet confections, including sugar picture frames, candy cane lights, and milk chocolate Santas.

- Every Wednesday, from 6-7 p.m., The Mixing Room bar offers complimentary interactive mixology classes, beer and wine seminars, and tastings led by local experts. The winter classes includes:
