Who remembers back to 2013 when the epic Disney movie “Frozen” came to the big screen? As soon as Frozen came out, it quickly established itself as one of the most iconic Disney films of all time. Not only does the movie tell a beautiful story of female empowerment and friendship, but it also lays claim to one of the best soundtracks in Disney history. ‘Do You Want to Build a Snowman?’, ‘For the First Time in Forever’, ‘Let It Go’ – all legendary songs.

Well, now it is on Broadway and we couldn’t be more excited to see it! From the producer of The Lion King and Aladdin, Disney’s Frozen, the Tony®-nominated Best Musical, will play a three-week premiere engagement at Segerstrom Hall at Segerstrom Center for the Arts beginning Wednesday, February 1, 2023 playing through Sunday, February 19, 2023.  Opening Night is Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 7:30pm.

I took my daughter to see Disney’s Frozen: The Musical last night and we were so swept away in this magical production. I loved that there was a live orchestra which made it feel like we were in NYC on Broadway!

The singing, the costumes, the sets, the jaw dropping effects – all of it was spectacular! The set was just like the movie, vibrant, and full of glitter and color. Best of all were the two young Elsa and Anna’s. Wow! Everybody stood for a standing ovation.

Pre Show Activities

On the third floor there is a fun frozen backdrop where you can take a photo with props! There are also smaller photo ops on each floor.

They also have some fun merchandise like Elsa and Anna Dolls, Sven the Reindeer and Olaf the snowman!

Here are some tips of you go:

? Park over at South Coast plaza and walk across. It’s a quick walk.

⭐️ Arrive early and take part in the lobby activities. There is a big photo backdrop on the 3rd floor.

? Visit the display on orchestra level highlighting the Disney musicals in schools program.

✅ Be prepared to go through security screening in bag check prior to entering the theater.
