Today Melodi and I took our girls to see Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival at the Terrace Theater in Long Beach. Both girls were SUPER excited. They both love Disney and love Mickey even more. We have seen the Disney Live Pirate and Princess show last year so on the way to the theater today they were discussing who they think they will see.
When you first walk in there are LOTS of things to buy. Treats both edible and non edible for both boys and girls. A million and 1 things for little eyes to look at and to ask mom or dad to buy. When we got to our seats I noticed that there was not a bad seat in the whole place! Every seat had a great view of the stage. When the voice came on saying there was only 5 minutes until show time the girls squealed with delight and got in their seats. Us moms didn’t even have to say anything!
DISNEY LIVE! MICKEY’S MUSIC FESTIVAL
The show was fantastic! The show featured rock songs incorporated with Disney favorites such as Aladdin, Little Mermaid and Toy Story. Personally my favorite part of the show was when Ariel’s sisters came onstage and sang “All the Single Ladies” by Beyonce. They even did the Single Ladies dance! Woody and Jessie did Cotton Eyed Joe and Aladdin and the Genie did a little Hip Hop. I do have to say that when the Genie came on and Robin Williams voice came over the sound system saying his iconic “10,000 years will give you such a crick in the neck!” I got a little choked up. It was perfect! The dancing was phenomenal and the costumes were bright and lively. Minnie Mouse had the cutest dress on!
When the show was done we left the theater and Rylee said really loud “That show was AWESOME!” Both girls loved it and wanted to go see it again. You have done it again Disney! We can’t wait to see the next one! Here some fun videos we took! Enjoy!
