Staycation Convenient
My husband and I recently celebrated our 25th anniversary and we stayed at the Sonesta Irvine to celebrate. We stayed in a King size corner studio suite that had a ton of windows, natural light, and tons of space. It is located on a top floor and features floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views, refined decor, and fine furnishings, including a king bed with pillow-top mattress. There was also a sofa bed, a comfortable chaise, and work desk with chair.
When I was getting ready for dinner I really loved the oversized back-lit wall mirror and the quartz vanity was super elegant. If you need to get any wrinkles out, there is a steamer which is so much better than an iron! Also robes and slippers, spa-quality toiletries, and a flat-screen television with premium movie channels. Let’s not forget about the complimentary Wi-Fi either!
Haven Point Provisions & Spirits
If you are a foodie like us you will love Have Point Provisions and Spirits. Not only is it a full service restaurant, but the vibe is sexy and they have really good drinks from the bar. They serve a contemporary cuisine with a Southern California flair using only locally sourced ingredients. one of my favorites was the OC Tuna Stack. It was massive and stuffed with Avocado, Cucumber, Sushi Rice, Kani Crab, Wasabi, Tobiko and a Ginger Soy Vinaigrette.
We also enjoyed the Lemongrass Fried Chicken with Pickled Fresno Chile and Garlic Black Pepper Aioli. It was crispy and had just the right amount of kick!
If you like seafood be sure and try the Pan Seared Pacific Sea Bass with Creamy Risotto, Market Vegetable and a Piquillo Pepper Emulsion.
