And now there is going to be a party in your baby’s tummy because Yo Gabba Gabba’s co-creator Scott Schultz and his brother Ben Schultz, are embarking on a new project to bring music, art, puppets, sign language, and giggles to the youngest audiences with “Hi BabyBoo”!
The Schultz brothers are partnering with Night & Day Studios, the award-winning creators of bestselling app Peekaboo Barn, to bring the new brand to life. Intent on growing Hi BabyBoo! with fan input and support, the group is launching a Kickstarter campaign today (http://www.hibabyboo.com/Kickstarter) to fund initial development and production of the TV show and mobile app.
The Schultzes’ team at The Magic Store and Night & Day Studios view the Kickstarter platform as an unconventional but delightfully collaborative path to developing new intellectual property and kids’ entertainment. Kickstarter funding will help produce a new multimedia experience for toddlers and babies, including five-minute episodes of the new show and an interactive iPad app that kids and grownups can enjoy together. Supporter rewards include a variety of exclusive Hi BabyBoo! items, such as T-shirts, onesies, plush dolls, baby books, posters, a production diary, the finished app, and even chances to meet the crew and join the cast.
Like Yo Gabba Gabba, Hi BabyBoo! will engage the whole family through silly scenes, different kinds of music, colorful visuals, and puppet characters. Scott Schultz said, “I’ve always been starstruck with the baby and toddler years of life. It’s such a beautiful, happy time that, as an adult now, I love to share the experience with them.
