Do you have a kid who is inquisitive, loves science, math and technology? Do they enjoy fun and interactive experiments to learn how things work? Are they always taking things apart to see how it works or how it can be put back together? I totally do, and I recently learned about a company called Engineering for Kids. This company offers classes and programs that teach kids ages 4 -14 years old STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) through fun, hands on, and challenging activities. They specialize in LEGO Robotics building and programing, Electrical, Civil, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering classes. In these classes, kids get to build roller coasters, rockets, parachutes, racing cars, etc… They have over 35 curriculum with 150 activities for the kids to do.
These classes are offered in 18 states and 3 countries. Click here for Location information.
Engineering for Kids comes from the mind of educator Dori Roberts. With an extensive educational background in math and technology education, Roberts taught engineering at the high school level for 11 years. During her teaching career, she saw a dire need for math, science and engineering programs. To fill this void, she started an after school club that participated in various engineering and science-based competitions.
